anCnoc 18 is a real find for the price. The nose gives away the sherry cask that touched this, but the sweetness must be from american oak. All that you need to know is there is fruit in this one and really robust. Bit of bite - lets call it char from the bourbon cask i detect. Toffee and other candy goodness come through on the palate. More subdued than the full force of a sherried whisky and i am a fan. FWIW - anCnoc is pronounced "a-nock"and are the production of the Knockdhu Distillery.
